Essence Wedding Featured in Chicago Style Weddings Magazine

Recently, Chicago Style Weddings Magazine, featured Essence bride and groom David and Jillian Perlick in their Real Weddings section.  David and Jillian’s photos feature their beautiful wedding day at The Stonegate.  See their feature in CSW here.

At a suburban hotel in 2000, Jillian DeCarlo was working as a barista and was soon noticed by one of the banquet cooks. Although the two enjoyed a few dates together, Jillian left for college and seemed to have forgotten the banquet cook, David Perlick. Fast forward to 2009, Jillian is working in the food industry again and is looking for a restaurant to treat her managers to dinner. She stumbled upon Chef Dave’s restaurant and according to Jillian, “fell in love with his food first.” Nine months later, while on a relaxing getaway in Napa Valley, CA David immediately knew where he wanted to propose; in a hot air balloon. Those plans quickly dissipated when foggy weather got in the way. The couple decided to tour a Persian winery and it was there while strolling the vineyard hand-in-hand, that David got down on bended knee in the wet dirt and expressed his love for Jillian.
