Essence Videography FAQ's
What Do The Videography Experts Suggest You Ask?
Below are some questions that generally answer the most common "tough" question of brides. Click any of these questions to view their answer. If there is anything we missed, please feel free to submit your question to us and we will respond accordingly...

A: No, for quality control purposes, all the videographers and editors work exclusively for Essence Photo & Video.

A: Absolutely. All of our packages include 100% digital 3CCD cameras.

A: Definitely. Call or email us to make an appointment and we'll be happy to show you a demo.

A: Non-linear editing means it is a professionally produced product. Non-linear editing technology gives us the flexibility to be creative. Our editors have the ability to change images from color to black/white, create wide screen views, color correction, etc… Our editors have been professionally trained at Columbia University and bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to your personalized video. Each wedding video requires between 25-35 hours in our editing studio before it is ready for your pick up.

A: All of the above. Our editors also shoot weddings on a regular basis to keep them "in touch" with the artistic and logistical needs during a wedding. This, along with the non-linear editing technology and broadcast grade equipment ensures your video rivals the quality of a Hollywood production.

A: All of our packages start with a 2 camera set up. This ensures that our editors have footage from a wide view and close up during your ceremony. This is a must for all weddings.

A: In order to hear your vows crystal clear at the ceremony. Our videographers will set up so that they are not part of the ceremony and zoom in for close ups, but need a sound feed to capture the sound properly. Check with your ceremony site for any restrictions.

A: Allow 8-12 weeks after submitting all of your final editing materials for incorporation into your video.

A: Absolutely, all videographers have back up equipment with them at all times and we have “on-call” videographers for emergencies.

A: It depends on your wedding. A general rule of thumb is however long your ceremony is, plus approximately an hour of edited footage. If your ceremony is one hour, then your total DVD length will be approximately two hours.
